Are you in a prison? In your mind? In your heart? In your past?  We can be free. God never meant for us to carry and be imprisoned by our pain and sorrow.  I visited the Western Maryland Correctional Facility.  Whether the prison is physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual, Christ died to set us free.  He is a God that delivers, heals and brings us into full restoration.  “He that the Son has set free, is free indeed..” John 8:36  

I never speak at a prison that my heart is not moved. I never excuse, justify, or minimize why they are there. I do believe that even in our darkest prisons, God wants to be there. Isaiah 61:1-3 “…to set the captives free, the opening of prison doors….” “…to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garments of praise for the spirit of heaviness… That God might be known and glorified as a real God. A Father who truly cares, and brings hope on the wings of love….
